Have you used GPS, Google Maps, or even Google Search? AI has been quietly helping us for years. The difference now is that it is no longer only helping us find information or navigate a route. It is beginning to think for us, write for us, remember for us, and even make decisions for us.
That is the part that concerns me.
AI can make things faster, easier, and sometimes more effective, but it has no ability to be me, uniquely and fascinatingly me. That is what matters.
Matter matters. The soil, the plant, the herbs and medicines growing from the earth, the food, the ferments, the hands that make them, and the human experience behind it all. AI can gather information, recognize patterns, and pull ideas together in ways that may help us, but it cannot live this for us. It cannot touch the soil, know the plant, taste the ferment, feel the medicine, or replace the experience of being fully human.
