I am very happy to share that Elizabeth Wysen will be teaching a one-day Quantum Healing Workshop here at Living Ground (Suelo Vivo) on Wednesday, November 4. It is a small, in-person day with only 12 spaces, and I wanted our local community in Vilcabamba, Malacatos and Loja to hear about it first, before it fills.

Elizabeth has spent more than 25 years working as a psychic remote viewer, medical intuitive and quantum healer. During the day she will introduce some of the techniques she uses in her own work. These include remote viewing, working with people, places and animals at a distance, different qualities of light, and practical quantum healing techniques. You can explore them for yourself or bring them into a healing practice you already have.
What I especially like about Elizabeth is that she wants people to learn to do this work themselves. The day is hands-on, with demonstrations and practice. It is a chance to explore abilities that many of us have sensed at some point without really having a framework to understand them.
If you live here, this is a lovely way to spend a full day learning with Elizabeth without committing to one of her longer retreats. You can read more about the workshop and Elizabeth’s work on her website, The Twelve Dimensional Path.
Two Very Different Doorways
Elizabeth and I have also been working on something bigger. We have coordinated our calendars for the next two years so that people traveling to southern Ecuador can come for one body of work and stay for another.
Coming here is a real undertaking. People arrange flights, time away from work and family, and accommodation, and then make the long journey up into the mountains. It made sense to us that once someone has made that journey, they should be able to make the most of it.
Our work comes through very different doorways. Elizabeth works with consciousness, intuition, remote viewing, personal healing and the less visible dimensions of human experience. My work at Living Ground is about blood, soil, microbes, plants, food, fermentation, herbs, the human microbiome and the Soil Food Web.
That difference is exactly what interests me. Someone might spend several days with Elizabeth exploring inner perception, then step into the very tangible world of microscopes, soil organisms, gardens, kitchens and ferments. Someone else might arrive to study soil and find themselves curious about perception and healing. A person who comes for Plant & Kitchen Alchemy may discover Live Blood Analysis. Someone who starts with blood may suddenly become fascinated by what is going on beneath their feet.
There is no requirement to do both. Elizabeth’s workshops and retreats stand completely on their own, and so do mine. We are not trying to blend the two into one system. Elizabeth teaches her work in her way, and I teach mine through the living systems I have spent so much of my life studying. I think there is real value in meeting a completely different way of looking at life and letting your own experience decide what speaks to you.
What we do share is that we both want people to take part rather than sit back and receive. We want you to go home with something you can keep practicing and developing on your own.
For anyone coming from far away, a longer stay also gives you time to settle into this beautiful valley. You can walk the gardens, share meals, talk with the other participants and let one experience connect naturally with the next. Learning is very different when there is enough time to absorb it.

Plant & Kitchen Alchemy: November Is Full
A few days after Elizabeth’s workshop, our November Plant & Kitchen Alchemy: Food, Medicine & Microbes begins here at Living Ground (November 8–14). I am delighted to say it is completely full.
For that week we move between the garden, kitchen, apothecary and microscope. We follow the relationships between soil, plants, food, microbes and the human body. We work with medicinal and edible plants, fermentation, sprouting, herbal preparations, preservation, broths, vinegar, honey, chocolate, scent and perfume, with a great deal of making along the way.
The microbial world runs through all of it. The soil microbiome around a root shapes what a plant can take up and become. That plant then becomes food or medicine and enters another living ecosystem inside us. There, our own microbes take part in digestion, transformation and communication throughout the body. For me, the soil biome and the human microbiome belong in the same conversation. They are living communities connected through plants, food, minerals and water.
The invisible relationships become visible through their effects.
If you missed this one, the next dates are below.
Living Ground Workshops: 2027 and 2028
Over the next two years I will be teaching four main workshops at Living Ground. Each begins in a different place, and all of them come back to the relationships between microbes, plants, food, soil and the human terrain.
Live Blood Analysis
Here we observe blood while the cells are still living and moving. You learn to prepare a sample, use the microscope and camera, recognize recurring patterns, and begin to understand what those patterns can tell us about the larger terrain of the body. Much of the learning happens through your own blood. You photograph and observe your own samples throughout the week, which makes the work both technically useful and very personal.
2027: January 16–23

Soil Food Web: Beyond Organics
This week takes us straight into the living biology beneath our feet. We look at the bacteria, fungi, protozoa and nematodes in the soil, and at the relationships around plant roots. We also follow how these organisms cycle nutrients and support plant health. We work with microscopes, compost and living soil, learning to recognize and cultivate the biology plants depend on. The aim is to start thinking like a microbe farmer, and to see that soil fertility is, at its heart, biological.
2027: April 18–23

Plant & Kitchen Alchemy: Food, Medicine & Microbes
This workshop follows the journey from soil into plant, from plant into kitchen, and from kitchen into the human microbiome. We work with medicinal plants, wild foods, sprouting, fermentation, herbal preparations, food as medicine and preservation. We also explore the everyday chemistry and microbiology happening in the kitchen. We spend the week making, tasting, observing and experimenting, building skills you can take home and weave into everyday life.

Dried Blood Analysis
Dried Blood Analysis is another way of studying patterns in the human terrain. You learn correct sample preparation, microscope photography and pattern recognition, and how to read across a whole sample for repeating relationships. It is very visual work that trains careful observation. We always look at patterns in context, connecting what we see under the microscope with the bigger picture of the person.

Elizabeth has built her longer BioResonance retreats for 2027 and 2028 around these dates. If you are coming from North America, Europe or anywhere else, you can plan one longer stay and take part in both.
You can explore all the Living Ground workshops here, or send me a message on WhatsApp if you have questions or would like to plan a longer stay. We also have guest rooms at Living Ground for anyone coming from further away.
Becoming More Capable
Living Ground has slowly become much more than a place where I teach workshops. It has become a place to be immersed in gardens, food, plants, microbes, microscopes, traditional preparations, good conversation and hands-on learning.
I want people to leave able to do something they could not do when they arrived. That might mean recognizing the organisms in a soil sample under the microscope. It might mean making a ferment with confidence, identifying a useful plant, preparing a herbal remedy or sprouting seeds. Or it might mean understanding your own blood more deeply, or seeing for yourself how the microbes in the soil connect with the microbes within us.
Elizabeth brings a whole other dimension into that environment through her work with consciousness, perception and personal healing. Each body of work keeps its own character, and people can choose to come for a single day, a week, a retreat or something much longer. Each person can shape a journey around what they want to learn. That is what excites me most about the next two years.
